Our Safety & Trust Guidelines
Is a chat line safe?
Your number stays hidden, and you can block anyone.
But we cannot confirm that everything a caller tells you is true.
Keep these to yourself
- Your Location. Leave your address and your regular schedule out of greetings and conversations.
- Your account access. Never share passwords or one-time verification codes with another caller.
- Your money. Payment details, bank information, and income stay private.
- Other people's details. Do not pass on someone else's number, recordings, or information.
A nickname is fine. A respectful caller will let you change the subject.
Block first, explain nothing
Press 8 to block a caller. Press 8 again to flag them for our team. Use it to report threats, harassment, requests for money, or underage reporting. You don’t need to stay in the conversation to gather evidence. Press * for assistance with the controls.
If you are in immediate danger, contact emergency services. The chat line is not an emergency service.
Never send money to a caller
Don’t entertain any request for cash, gift cards, a transfer, or cryptocurrency. An urgent story does not make a payment safe. If you have mistakenly sent money, contact your bank or credit card provider promptly and ask whether it can be stopped.
Respect goes both ways
A conversation continues only while both people want it. Stop when someone says no or leaves. Threats, hate, pressure, impersonation, and attempts to get someone's money or account details have no place here, in greetings and messages as well as live calls.
